Loaves and Fishes of Beaufort (NC) is a Beaufort-based, Christ-Centered, residential substance abuse recovery program. It provides shelter and a recovery program for men at no cost to them.
Over six months of residency, the men gain life skills to support their healthy re-entry upon graduation. Loaves and Fishes of Beaufort also helps these individuals regain their health while receiving training for employment.
Veterans Services of the Carolinas (VSC) supports the nation's Veterans and their families by implementing essential assistance programs in communities across North Carolina. Assistance support includes Housing, Employment, Outreach and Peer Support, Suicide Prevention, and Call Center Service Coordination.
VSC collaborates with community partners and faith communities to meet critical needs called Social Drivers of Health. Through the HOPE/PATH Outreach program, VSC helps unhoused individuals find hope that recovery is possible, with acceptance into addiction recovery programs such as Loaves and Fishes.

Beaufort is a town and the county seat of Carteret County in North Carolina's Inner Banks region, founded in 1709 and the third-oldest town in the state after Bath and New Bern. It is home to the North Carolina Maritime Museum. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot summers and mild winters, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
