Celebrate Veterans Day with our annual Freedom Run, a 5K, 10K, or Half-Marathon in Atlanta. Whether you're running for a personal best or walking with friends and family, come move together in gratitude for the Veterans who have sacrificed to protect our freedom.
You can raise funds for a charity of your choice, but this is optional. 100% of the net funds raised will go towards your cause of choice.
We keep things small, personal, and local, so every run feels less like a number and more like a memory. Whether it's a 5K, 10K, half-marathon, or virtual run, you'll get the warmth of a hometown event.
No packet pickup needed. Your swag ships straight to your door. Double-check your full US mailing address, including apartment number, when you register, as your shirt is sent to this address. Race bibs are handed out on race day.
Your shirt will arrive at your mailing address the week of your race.
Shipping may not catch up in time, so your shirt could arrive after race day. Wear whatever you like and come run with us anyway.
We'll send final participant info by the Wednesday before race day, with all the details and course maps.
Once you've registered, use your confirmation number to reserve a wave.
Running late? Jump in when you arrive. Our coordinators stay on-site for 3 hours after the first wave. Times may change depending on the season, so please check your participant info email.
Prefer to run on your own time? Our virtual run includes a digital training pack to keep you on track. Run it whenever and wherever, with any tracking device you like (optional), then send your results to [email protected] to claim your medal.
Have a mission that helps people around the world? We can help you fundraise at no cost to you.
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.
Atlanta is the capital of Georgia, USA, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains at about 1,050 feet, with rolling hills and dense tree cover. It has a humid subtropical climate with generous rain all year: summers are hot and humid, with 90 F (32 C) reached on about 47 days a year, and winters are mild but variable, with about 36 freezing nights and occasional light snow. Spring and autumn are the best seasons to race. Summer needs heat and humidity precautions. Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the world's busiest by passengers, serves the city.
