Atlanta Lab Rescue 5K
About the race
The 12th Annual Atlanta Lab Rescue 5K is one of our largest fundraisers for Atlanta Lab Rescue.
ALR's mission is to rescue Labrador Retrievers and Large Breed Mixes from overwhelmed shelters and abusive situations and place them in secure, loving homes. We average 40+ dogs in the program at any given time, and in our first 13 years we have rescued over 6000 dogs.
Age Groups
Timing and shirts
Timing is provided by Elite Race Timing. Registration fee includes a long sleeve t-shirt. Each participant in the timed start will receive a race bib with a timing chip. Shirts will be mailed to all virtual runners the week of the race.
Early packet pickup
Early packet pickup will be available Friday, November 13th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Big Peach Running Co (East Cobb), 1062 Johnson Ferry Rd, Unit 170, Marietta GA 30068. Registration at packet pickup will be available via QR code for $40.00. Credit card or debit card only; no cash or check will be accepted.
Race day registration
Race Day registration will also be available onsite until 9:00am via QR code for $45.00. Credit card or debit card only; no cash or check will be accepted.

The course
Race day details
The Atlanta Lab Rescue 5K (approximately 3.15 miles) begins and ends at Shirley Clarke Franklin Park (formerly Westside Park) in Atlanta, GA. The event is being held on Sunday, November 15th, 2026. This will be a dog friendly race; however, no retractable leashes are allowed. After the race, stay for the awards ceremony.

Atlanta is the capital of Georgia, USA, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains at about 1,050 feet, with rolling hills and dense tree cover. It has a humid subtropical climate with generous rain all year: summers are hot and humid, with 90 F (32 C) reached on about 47 days a year, and winters are mild but variable, with about 36 freezing nights and occasional light snow. Spring and autumn are the best seasons to race. Summer needs heat and humidity precautions. Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the world's busiest by passengers, serves the city.
