City insight: Alexandria
Alexandria is a city near the center of Louisiana on the south bank of the Red River, and it is the largest city and parish seat of Rapides Parish. It is the state's tenth-largest city, with a neighboring city of Pineville. The climate is humid subtropical, with long, hot summers, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
