Alapaha is a town in Berrien County, south Georgia, on the Alapaha River, with 481 residents at the 2020 census. It grew out of a trade settlement on the site of an earlier Seminole village of the same name. The area has a humid subtropical climate with hot, muggy summers, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
