About the race
The SBI Green Marathon was envisioned by two brands that believe in sustainability being a lifestyle that everyone must adopt. The largest bank and biggest radio station in the country came together with a joint vision and responsibility to create and celebrate environmental sustainability, better living for our future generations, and spread the #gogreen message across the country in an effective yet entertaining format.

Kolkata is the capital of West Bengal, a large river city on the Hooghly, known for its colonial buildings, its food, its literature and a long running tradition around the Maidan and Rabindra Sarobar. The climate is hot and humid: summers (April to June) are very sticky, the monsoon (June to September) is heavy, and winters (November to February) are the most pleasant, dry and cool. November to February is the best time to race, with cool, clear mornings. It has an international airport, a metro and strong rail links.
