The Ekal Run, an initiative of FTS Yuva Kolkata (the youth wing of Friends of Tribals Society), is a flagship annual event dedicated to educating and empowering underprivileged rural and tribal children in remote parts of India.
Launched in 2019, the Ekal Run has rapidly grown in scale and impact, becoming a community event in Kolkata and expanding to other cities such as Bengaluru, Surat, Indore, Gwalior, Assam, Dhanbad, and Bangkok. Every year, thousands of participants—including running groups, professionals, students, athletes, families, and fitness enthusiasts—come together for fitness and to support the mission of FTS.
