Welcome to the Nahargarh Hill Marathon Jaipur 2026 (4th Edition), an exhilarating event that combines the thrill of running with the historical charm and natural beauty of Jaipur. Scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 01, 2026, this marathon offers a unique opportunity to race through one of India’s most iconic hill forts. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a passionate explorer, this event promises challenge, beauty, and unforgettable memories.
Nahargarh fort was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the year 1734 for the sake of defense of Jaipur city. Built on a hill about 700 feet high in the north of Jaipur city, it was originally named Sudarshangarh and later named Nahargarh, dedicating it to Nahar Singh Bhomia. In this fort, the water storage and management system is unique and rare, featuring a huge water reservoir (Tanka) and step wells.
The main palace situated in the fort is known as Shri Madhvendra Bhawan. This double-storeyed palace is divided into ten apartments and is a splendid example of Indo-Western architecture adorned with aarish work and fresco paintings.
The race takes place at Nahargarh Fort, erected on a hill approximately 700 feet high overlooking Jaipur city.
