Chennai is the capital of Tamil Nadu, on the Bay of Bengal, known for Marina Beach, its temples and a strong marathon and running culture. The climate is hot and humid all year: summers (April to June) are very hot, the northeast monsoon from October to December brings the heaviest rain and occasional cyclones, and winters (January to February) are the most pleasant. December to February is the best time to race, with early starts to avoid the heat. Expect high humidity. Chennai has a major international airport and a metro.
All school students (boys & girls) from Pre-KG to Class VIII.
The top five winners in each category get a trophy, medal, certificate and refreshments; all participants receive a medal and certificate.
