About the race

BeAthlit Monthly Lake Runs brings lake runs in a format designed to make it easy for everyone to participate and appreciate local lakes. As lake authorities do not allow permanent structures inside or near the lakes, these events operate as community-style runs.

How It Works:

  • Choose your preferred lake during registration.
  • Report at the lake entrance between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM to collect your event T-shirt.
  • Complete your 1.6K, 3K, 5K, or 10K run on your own or alongside family and friends.
  • Record your run on any fitness tracking app (Strava, Garmin, Google Fit, Nike Run Club, Runkeeper, etc.).
  • Show proof of your completed activity to the on-site team to collect your finisher medal.

Runners who complete 5 lake runs by December 2026 earn a special composite medal titled "Legend of Lakes".

Important Guidelines:

  • A Strava activity is required for medal eligibility (for kids running with an accompanying adult, the adult's Strava activity is accepted).
  • Distance must be clearly visible on your recorded activity.
  • No timing bibs are provided.
  • No hydration or on-route support will be available.
  • Event staff will be stationed at each lake entrance for verification and medal distribution.

Participants can choose to run at any of the following lakes:

Location

City insight: Bengaluru

Bengaluru is the capital of Karnataka, India's technology hub and one of its strongest running cities, known as the Garden City for its parks, lakes and tree-lined streets. At about 900 metres it has a mild climate: summers (March to May) are warm and dry, the monsoon (June to September) brings regular afternoon showers, and winters (November to February) are cool and pleasant with chilly mornings. October to February is the best time to race, with comfortable temperatures for long distances. Heavy rain can interrupt events in the monsoon. It has a major international airport and a growing metro.
